‘Totally unacceptable’: Video shows Indonesian police shooting, beating man, throwing him to ground, throwing pepper spray into apartment

The video shows a police officer kicking a man who was standing on the sidewalk in the northern Indonesian city of Kota Bharu, injuring his leg.

The video has been viewed more than 13 million times on YouTube.

The man’s wife said she saw the police officer shoot the man twice in the leg with a pistol and throw a bottle of pepper spray at his face.

She said she was then handcuffed by police and taken to a police station.

She was later arrested and taken away to a hospital, according to a statement by the man’s attorney.

The attorney said the man was in stable condition.

Police Chief General Tito Karnavian said on Wednesday the officer involved in the video was under investigation for “incitement of hatred.”

He also said he had ordered an investigation.

A local lawmaker has called for an investigation into the incident, calling it a “brutal act.”

The video was recorded during a protest on the streets of Koto Bharu on Oct. 12.

Police are known to be involved in confrontations with protesters and others, as well as sometimes using excessive force.

A woman was shot dead in October by a police bullet.

Police also used tear gas on protesters last month in Jakarta.
